In May of 2008, the first Niu device ventured bravely into the clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, a pioneer for a new type of education project. The Niu’s chances of success and ultimate destination were unknown, but after four months of continuous position reports, the Niu I signed off for the last time, some 1500 miles from home. The launch – and Niu I’s journey – were a stunning success, and Archinoetics engineers and scientists have set their sights even higher for the 2008-09 iteration.
